K-2nd Girls Lacrosse

Hello! Hope you are all doing well as spring tries to arrive!

Megan and I wanted to welcome you to the newly formed K-2 girls team! We’ve got some time yet before things start up for us, but here’s the basics and our plan for our season!

Megan Jones and I will be coaches for the K2 program with awsome assistance from Joyous Snyder and Jenna Fisher.

What your girl will need:
Youth Girls lacrosse stick (if you don’t have a stick, we have sticks that your girl can borrow each practice)
Mouth guard
Lacrosse goggles (NEW US Lacrosse Regulations for 2020:Lacrosse Goggles must be SEI Certified (meeting ASTM F3077-177 requirements for women’s lacrosse)the words “SEI Certified and Meeting the requirements for women’s lacrosse” will be printed on the frame/plastic or on a manufacturer’s tag.
All goggles sold at Angelo’s Soccer & Lacrosse Corner have been updated to meet this requirement (PMGYL players get a 10% discount at store).
*Regular face mask (COVID requirement on any PMSD property)
Water bottle
Dressed in comfortable layered clothes
Athletic shoes (cleats not required)
For your equipment needs locally, you can visit Angelo’s at 360 Steel Way (behind Home Depot between Fruitville and Manheim Pike). They have a nice girls lacrosse “starters kit.” You can also find equipment at Dicks Sporting Goods or online.

Practices will start Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 6:15-7:15pm at Comet Field. If there is inclement weather, a notice will go out and also be posted on our TeamPages site. If you haven’t signed up for our TeamPages site yet—make sure you do!

Our focus will be all the basics by getting lacrosse sticks in the girls hands, teach foundational lacrosse rules and skills, and having FUN!

Please note – If you are having trouble logging in to the website or team page, please use a computer to register vs your phone. Once you go to the site, you can register. Choose our group: Penn Manor Girls Lacrosse. Orders will be delivered to the girls at practice when they are done.
